Finally! I shot my very first two rolls of that film everybody is freaking out about so heavily: Tri-X.
I must say, I’m quite pleased by it. Works out pretty well in most situations, especially considering that I pushed it three stops. The following photos show my very very very fadingtoblack saturday I had last week, i hoped that they will
give me some hints about what I’ve been doing, but in that case I got disappointed …
It all started here, our neighbours flat, we had some applejuice together …
Dubedubbidubb, fast forwarding a couple of hours to Perishing Mankind, my first metal-gig in Graz, and a really great one as well. I met Latschi
there who had been there already for hours, one of those rare moments were I experience him without being more wasted than he is.
Taking a photo of somebody heavily headbanging: check.
Latschi, he decided that it’s time for getting long hair again that evening.
Should have been a quite nice shot I guess, but somebody messed up the focus …
Those people were there too …
The drummerette (female for drummer, whatever …) from Perishing Mankind. We (the boys) had some interesting conversation about her …
Georgeous.
As well.
Then we went over to the first floor (woooo, the first floor), met this totally relaxed guy there.
Latschi posing and moving out of the focus …
Extreme high contrast situation there, wooohoo
Relaxed guy waking up, doing some smoking …
Random portraits, everybody’s always very excited about those …
… except the relaxed guy, he’s just too relaxed for those.
And some blurry things.
That’s the point where it got really nasty. I can’t remember those two guys, but I found myself in a Taxi at some point driving to … no one knows …
And some shots to get that roll finished …
At the turkish supermarket. A situation where Tri-X+3 isn’t suitable anymore, backlight, some light on the one side and quite dark shadows on the other.
Lying around (means: studying).
Yes I definitely wanted to finish that roll to finally know what really happened that saturday. Tri-X doing his job.
And maybe, in some time, I manage to get some right focused pictures, even after I had some glasses of applejuice …
